Ensemble ’22-In Community with Food

Community can exist in a moment. In a place. In an intention. It is discovered when we connect with each other. It can be created, as it was on Kauai at our inaugural In Community with Food conference: an extraordinary gathering of people from Kauai, Oahu, Costa Rica, Tanzania, California, New York, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Venezuela, Australia, Hong Kong, France, and the United Kingdom.​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​When we begin to speak in community about food systems, we discover our common humanity. We honor and learn from those who came before us, and we embrace our shared future. We commit to the knowledge that the land is better with us, if we take care of the land.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
