The Experience

The first offering of our Aloha series is a weekly two-hour guided lei po'o making experience—a celebration of tradition, art, and community.

Nestled within our lush garden pond area, this immersive activity invites you to explore the art of lei making under the guidance of our knowledgeable instructors. As you select foraged flowers and foliage sourced from our gardens and local growers, you'll discover the significance behind the blooms, the lei making and the celebrations that we use lei in all year round.

Whether you’re a seasoned lei maker or this is your first time, we welcome all levels of lei makers! Each participant will craft their own lei po'o (Hawaiian flower crown) using time-honored techniques passed down through generations across Polynesia.

Throughout the experience, indulge in light, farm-fresh refreshments and locally grown teas, each sip a tribute to the abundance of our island home. Engage in meaningful conversation with fellow participants, weave flowers and connections and share stories and flowers together, as you honor the spirit of aloha.

Join us at Common Ground to start your day off partaking in an authentic and enriching experience that transcends mere craftsmanship—it's a journey of discovery, honoring culture, and fun.
