Farm and Food
Quickly becoming a favorite for visitors and locals alike and as written about in Cosmopolitan, Forbes and AFAR. Common Ground's Farm and Food Experience offers a showcase of what grows on Kauai in our regenerative food forest: A collection of exotic and delicious foods brought to Hawai`i from all corners of the globe. Coffee, pineapple, tree tomato, kava, mamak'i, heart of palm, papaya, bananas, and more! More importantly it demonstrates a model for how food can be grown in harmony with nature, planted in concert so as to minimize the need for imported fertilizers and pesticides.
We discuss why Hawai'i shouldn't need to import 85+% of its food and what a robust local food system can do for communities everywhere. We believe a meal on Kauai should be unique and represent the abundance, flavors and cultures of the island. The tour concludes with a family style meal to savor and enjoy while celebrating the delicious diversity that exists on Kauai all while exploring our mission here at Common Ground. 100% Island sourced because it should be, from the cooking oil to the seasonings. Feel free to grab beer or wine from the bar to relax into a perfect island evening in a beautiful tropical farm setting.
We welcome children of all ages!

Initially we were a bit apprehensive about so many new and different foods sourced right from our tour and the land. I have to say it was one of the best meals we had while in Kauai.
My husband and I rate this experience as the thing we enjoyed the very most about our trip to Kauai. It was so informative , thought provoking and they furnished a delightful meal.
The Common Grounds farm and food tour was amazing and exceeded expectations. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and the dinner the chef made was so delicious!! Don’t miss out on this amazing experience!

A great Kauai evening activity! Kauai has so many great activities but Common Ground's food forest is not just focusing on a single crop like Kauai chocolate tours, and is for those traveling to Kauai who want to connect deeper. Kids and families are welcome - there are no age restrictions! Kids can sample the flowers, feed the chickens, and cow and help to fertilize the farm!
