Ekahi Market | Canned Ahi
ʻEkahi Market’s Original ʻAhi is artisanal, canned yellowfin tuna, line-caught in the waters off of Kauaʻi. High in vitamin B, omega fatty acids and with 25-30 grams of protein per jar, this ʻahi is healthy, delicious and sustainably-sourced. With only Kauaʻi-grown ingredients, this original recipe contains the floral citrus of Tahitian lime. Made in small batches and “canned” in jars in the heritage-style promises that the fish are captured at their peak and remain fresh to enjoy on charcuterie boards, in salads, dips or spreads.
ʻEkahi Market ʻahi is line-caught and sustainably-sourced, in comparison to the vast majority of tuna which is caught by large commercial fishing vessels. The fishing methods these vessels use remove tuna from the ocean in species-threatening numbers and kill countless other marine animals by way of bycatch. ʻEkahi Market’s catch is truly traceable with the name of the fisherman, boat and date of catch right on the label.
Meet the Makers
ʻEkahi means “one” in ʻŌlelo, Hawaiian language. ʻEkahi Market believes in “one fish, one line, one ocean.” A Kauaʻi-based company centered around honoring homegrown practices of fishing and food preparation while also giving back to the community and local businesses, ʻEkahi Market’s artisan canned ʻahi is direct from the sea to your seat at the table.
