SOLD OUT: Cacao Dance - Wednesday Night
Update: This event is SOLD OUT. Common Ground is a safety first venue. This means we have a limited capacity at each event per county COVID regulation. There will be plenty of events this Summer and it is our deepest hope that each of you are able to share space with us sometime soon. Please respect our best effort to navigate these challenging times and do not come to the gate if you do not have a ticket. Mahalo.
Join us for our opening week of the Summer Event Series at Common Ground with an evening of ecstatic movement and community connection on our newly designed lakeside lounge and bamboo stage. This weeks musical journey will be guided by Miguel, one of the North Shores favorite DJs and wind down with a sound bath lead by Kiah and Daniel.
After the music, we'll gather for conversation and ideation on how we can strive to build a global community of change makers to create and mobilize a replicable model for growing a diversified food economy on Kaua'i.
Your entry includes 1 wizardly crafted 6oz cacao tonic from our resident GRND'D Tonic Bar (if you make it for opening ceremony) and there will be plenty more on tap throughout the event to uplift your spirit.

Conventional farming of cacao, the wonderful plant that we use to make chocolate, is one of the leading causes of deforestation in many parts of South America and West Africa, but it doesn't have to be this way. Cacao can play a role as a sub-canopy species in a regenerative agroforestry system.
